It's a new year - what to do, what to do...

Hi folks...
This is the first blog-posting for our Peace Seekers club.
I want to invite the involvement of as many people as possible. Comment on things you hear about in the news, or things I might send out on our email-list; join in the social events that come up (usually about once a month, or so); come watch the movies we screen (just about every week on campus!).
I wonder if our society, today, asks too much of our time. I wonder that because people tend to back away just a bit if I invite them to some event, and I think it's because they're worried about not having enough time in the day or week.
The name of this blog is "What's Worth Living For?" because we often spend our time on things that - in the great scheme of things - may not have a whole lot of importance. And we may end up pursuing things that don't really last.
What I suggest is that we combine our efforts and try working at making things better in our local community and in the world. And we can do this by getting together and developing relationships with each other and finding out about one another and what is life-giving (what we enjoy doing) for each of us. And, we can also make the harder work easier by working on it together.
Come out to Peace Seekers events! Join in the activism and awareness we're trying to raise. Your suggestions are always welcome, and my hope is that we can work together for a better campus and world community!
